The traveling exhibition compiled in 2011 talks about the crimes committed by the Soviet totalitarian regime – the deportations and imprisonment of the Lithuanian population in forced labour camps. The documents and photographs on display tell the story of the organisation of the deportations, political arrests, and the harsh and difficult living and working conditions of deportees and political prisoners. The thematically designed stands highlight various aspects of everyday life – food, clothing, religion – while highlighting the differences between exile and imprisonment in labour camps.
